SEKITULEGE – THE SEXY MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

You will listen to the sound of one of Uganda’s forgotten musical instruments, Sekitulege. It’s played by only adults and is useful in teaching visitors about sex! You will learn the great messages delivered through this instrument. You’ll have a chance to play it.

  • GAMES & PLAY

THE SOCCER MATCH: HOSTS VS THE VISITORS – AND GOAT ROASTING

The final activity will be a soccer match between the villagers and the visitors, with traditional wrestling as a curtain raiser. While the match is going on, goat roasting will be underway, and you’ll have the opportunity to roast your own meat!

    SHOOTING COMPETITION AND SWINGING

While enjoying yourself with the fruits, you will be given a bow and a dozen of arrows to test your shooting skills. We have a clear moving target, that whoever shoots three times earns a gift from grandpa! If you don’t know how to shoot, we shall teach you how not to miss a target! You will return home a sound archer!

    TRADITIONAL WRESTLING

The day will end with traditional wrestling to teach you how this sport was played in the ancient times in Buganda. This will be the curtain raiser for the soccer match. You will have a chance to wrestle with the oldest member of Entanda (72 years) – you win him, you get a special prize.

  • DINING & WINE

    icon

    SUMPTUOUS LOCAL CUISINE (LUWOMBO)

Finally, will be served with luwombo, the same way it was served to kings and queens centuries ago. Moreover, this is food you will have participated in preparing. It is 100% fresh food. You will enjoy the greens commonly enjoyed in this village. You will sit on mats, and you will use your hands to eat. All the visitors will sit around a central serving point to have the meal in a typical traditional way as the head of the family will be the only one to sit on a stool. There are no forks or spoons in this village.

    LOCAL WINE PROCESSING

You’ll be served with locally processed medicinal wine, a type that many visitors have testified to solving their health problems, and of course very tasty! We shall also show you how this wine is processed from herbs, tree barks and other organic ingredients.

  • CULTURE LEARNING

    icon

BARK CLOTH MAKING – THE ANCIENT TEXTILE INDUSTRY IN UGANDA

If you like, you will sit down with the bark cloth maker to teach everything about bark cloth making in Buganda. Bark cloth is a type of cloth that the Baganda wore before the modern day clothes. You will learn the whole story of making it, its usage, and its role currently in the Baganda homesteads.

VISITING “THE BUSH”, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN

After ensuring that the food is on fire, the ladies will be guided by the ssenga (auntie) to the “bush” to learn about bedroom matters (apparently women do not hunt – unless they get special permission from chairman). The senior ssenga will share her secret for happily staying in marriage for 50 years and still counting. She will teach you how to look after a husband, how to play sex the traditional way, how to use certain local herbs to treat the sick, and how to manage a home in a typical kiganda tradition. Bed matters will be thoroughly discussed and any questions will be answered. Even necessary herbs will be provided for the ladies in need.

The Kojja (uncles) will also find their spot, where they will rest and talk about marriage issues with the fellow men. This discussion has always been extremely exciting as Kojjas share a combined experience of over 140 years! The talk is about roles of men in homes, and techniques traditionally used to excite ladies in bed! Please note that no recording is allowed during these sessions. Only your ears and in person.
